An Overview of Clinical Applications of Prosthetics & Orthotics.

Level of Instruction:  This free one hour course is aimed at experienced RN, though it will provide an overview for those who are less familiar with Prosthetics and Orthotics (P&O) as well as followed by a more detailed discussion of the material.

Course Format: This presentation will be a PowerPoint lecture accompanied by demonstration. It will conclude with oral questions and answers.  Participants will be asked to complete an evaluation form at the conclusion of the course.

About the Instructor: Jon Batzdorff is a certified prosthetist and orthotist and clinical director of Sierra Orthopedic Laboratory, which he founded in Santa Rosa, California.  Previously he taught at the UCLA Prosthetics/Orthotics Program and has lectured extensively on basic and advanced technology to physicians, and therapists. He is an examiner for the ABC national prosthetics exam. Mr. Batzdorff is also President of ProsthetiKa, a non-profit organization which provides free hands on clinical and technical training in developing countries.
