Bio: She is a school teacher, mother of 5 and is very active simply keeping up with all the kids in her life. Her hobbies are gardening boating and reading.
Tips she has to share: "I saved an old leg that slips on easily in the dark. It's my 'slipper leg.' I wear it when I just get up or get out of the shower. I like to be aware of phantom sensations--(through time the pain turned to the sensations)."
"Be proud of walking. Don't let the stories of amputees who climb mountains get you discouraged. Our "mountains" are the day to day trials of getting up and getting going. If it hurts don't stop. Figure out how to make your prosthesis work."
