Family: I have a wonderful wife, toddler son and infant daughter.
Job Responsibilities: I provide consultation, fitting, training and followup care for prosthetic and orthotic devices users. I also oversee the services at our Ukiah and Clearlake satellite offices.
Why I work in the O&P industry: This gives me a chance to help people in a tangible, meaningful way. It also allows me to work in a team environment with my colleagues, other rehabilitation professionals and patients.
Projects: Every device we make is different because every person is different. The most rewarding projects are the ones that require out-of-the-box thinking and problem solving skills. Last year I met a woman who was born with a deformity of her leg which resulted in amputation early in her life. Due to her unusual limb shape she required a very ‘custom’ device. We provided her with a custom injection molded silicone interface with an unprecedented suspension mechanism. This device provided suspension and control over her prosthesis far superior to any device that she had used over the past 40 years as an amputee.
Hobbies her Interests: Hiking, camping, woodworking, gardening, spending time with my family.
